DEPRESSION

Depression . Most of us have felt depressed and down at some stage in our lives especially when we are unhappy or sad, miserable, feeling blue or down in the dumps for short periods. There is usually a reason for our depression, however sometimes depression can be much more serious True clinical depression is a mood disorder in which feelings of sadness, loss, anger, or frustration interfere with everyday life for weeks or longer.

The exact cause of depression may not be known. Although with careful investigation it is possible to find the cause. Our research has shown that toxicity due to heavy metals such as mercury may be a cause as well as toxins in the environment.  Many researchers believe it is caused by chemical changes in the brain. This may be due to a problem with your genes, or triggered by certain stressful events.

Some types of depression run in families. But depression can also occur if you have no family history of the illness. Anyone can develop depression, even children.
