We have recently heard a lot in the press about the looming crisis of antibiotics no longer working. In 1928, bacteriologist Alexander Fleming made a chance discovery. From a contaminated experiment, he found a powerful antibiotic, which he called penicillin. So it was only 85 yrs ago! And now according to the latest news, they are no longer working. There is no doubt that antibiotics have played an extraordinary role in supporting patients and in controlling the bacteria scourge but tragically we have lost sight of some of the most basic rules of good health. Perhaps the problem is that we have entrusted our health to the miracle drugs and relinquished responsibility for our health. [All too easy to pop a pill and not to do the work!] Yes, taking care of ourselves is hard work, we need to exercise daily for fresh air and oxygen, we need to rest and relax, and we need the entire spectrum of nutrients from healthy fresh and natural food. In reality we should eat freshly picked food daily, go into the garden and pick what we need or go to the market and buy our food. Packaged and preserved food is not healthy and the chemicals and processes although very convenient, further distort the nutritional value of our food.
It was Alexander Fleming himself who, on his death bed said, ‘it is the soil not the seed.’ And this is the fundamental principle of natural medicine-to take care of the soil- the person on all levels of consciousness.
As a matter of interest, I remember when I was a little girl in Africa, watching the Africans lining up for the smallpox vaccine. They used to jostle to be the first in the line so that the needle would not be too blunt by the time they had their turn!! I distinctly remember asking mummy why they had talcum powder put on them. In fact what happened was that after being vaccinated their lovely glossy black skin changed to a horrid pale, white-purple colour and started to flake off, so they looked as if they had been dusted with powder. Often they would develop the most dreadful sores if they cut themselves. When I was working in the Colombo hospital in Sri Lanka, 30 odd years ago, I took care of a classroom of school children who had had a dreadful reaction to the smallpox vaccine, they had lupus like sores all over their faces and necks and bodies and some of the children in the class had died. It was thought that the smallpox vaccine had been contaminated! My generation who had the smallpox vaccine, ended up having our tonsils removed and our decaying teeth drilled and filled!! We vaccinate ourselves and our children with animal bacteria and then use antibiotics to kill the bacteria. It does not really make much sense.

Our bodies’ immune system acts as a natural first line of defence against infection, viruses, bacteria and other toxins. When we’re hit with the stress and grief of an emotional crisis, our body draws on its storehouse of resolve to help confront and deal with these issues head on. But sometimes, this isn’t enough. During these difficult times, great stress is placed on the limbic nervous system, in particular, the functioning of the thymus gland. Our immunity suffers and we become vulnerable to illness. Redwood tree essence helps bolster the body’s natural defence system while soothing the mind with a sense of calm and fortitude.

CoEQ10 Nature’s own most important antibiotic formed in the bone marrow to enable oxygenation and activation of the energy exchange Krebs’s cycle.
Zinc is a mineral that is vital for our immune system
Selenium found in the allium family, onions and garlic, is renowned for its natural antibiotic properties.
Vitamin A is found in fish oils and animal fats, butter cream milk and eggs. and is vital omega 3 oil [vegetarian source hemp and flax seeds] vital for eyesight and immunity
Vitamin D a vital omega 3 oil soluble vitamin is also found in fish butter and animal fats vital for the health of the heart and bones and ensures calcium assimilation.
Vitamin C, essential water soluble vitamin together with bioflavonoids, quercitin, rutin and acetyl CoEC one of the most important anti-oxidants for the immune system found in fresh fruit and vegetables, for the health of the Central Nervous system, the brain, the skin and supports life.
Vitamin E essential oil soluble is not limited to a single vitamin but a collection of compounds that contain a variety of antioxidant properties. Antioxidants, as their name implies, work like miniature vacuum cleaners in the body, sucking up oxidative stress in the cells that can cause cancer. Even if you don’t think you’re at risk from cancer, your body can pick up free radicals from a wide range of places – including from smoking, UV radiation pollution and toxicity.
Vitamin E is found in green leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale, and broccoli. Egg yolk, wheat germ and peanuts.
Vitamin E plays a role in the health of the heart, the immune system, sexual capacity, the health of the sperm and ova There is also the potential that higher doses of Vitamin E can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. Several studies have shown that vitamin E may help prevent blood clots, which can lead to stroke.
And finally CoEQ10 is nature’s own most important antibiotic formed in the bone marrow to enable oxygenation and activation of the energy exchange Krebs’s cycle. ‘Every cell within the body requires a constant supply of energy to survive and function - without this constant energy supply the cells die. Different tissues within the body may have particular energy requirements to function optimally- a good example is muscle tissue, which has an extremely high-energy requirement during physical exertion. Without an adequate energy supply in such circumstances, individuals may feel tired and lacking motivation to undertake physical exercise. This can even affect how we feel when carrying out daily tasks. Coenzyme Q10 is a naturally occurring, vitamin-like substance that plays a key role in the body’s energy supply process. Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) is required to convert sugars and fats from food into energy, in the form of a specific molecule called ATP (adenosine triphosphate). This process takes place in specialised structures within cells called mitochondria.
Coenzyme Q10 is also important as an antioxidant, helping to protect tissues from the damaging effects of free radicals produced within the body. Some coenzyme Q10 is manufactured within the body, with the remainder being obtained from the diet. As individuals age, the body is less able to maintain optimal levels of coenzyme Q10. In addition, coenzyme Q10 levels are depleted by lifestyle factors such as alcohol consumption and smoking, as well as by physical exertion, illness or by taking statins. Dietary supplementation can help to maintain optimal levels of coenzyme Q10 within the body. Coenzyme Q10 supplements can be effective for chronic fatigue, and may also improve athletic endurance. Coenzyme Q10 supplementation also helps to maintain healthy muscles and a healthy cardiovascular system.’ Concerns regarding the Pertussis Vaccine. This vaccine is now being given to teenagers as it is reported that the cases of Pertussis has increased and that the childhood vaccine does not offer life long immunity.
What the paper failed to report, however, is that there are serious health risks associated with the Tdap vaccines. Also, there are relatively benign health implications that are commonly associated with the diseases the vaccine is intended to prevent – “along with the important fact that vaccines have never been proven to prevent any disease,” Goldstein said.
She adds: The risks that whooping cough, diphtheria and tetanus pose to health are low compared to the potential, serious dangers reported as a result of this vaccine. Whooping cough can be treated successfully through a vitamin C protocol developed by Dr. Suzanne Humphries which has been shown to greatly reduce symptoms. In contrast, antibiotic treatments, given routinely by conventional, allopathic physicians to treat whooping cough, have never been shown to positively impact the course of the illness.
Whatever the standard medical treatments, most people fully recover from whooping cough, which then gives them lifetime immunity from it. If they should become re-infected, Goldstein writes, subsequent episodes are generally “quite mild.”
Meanwhile, tetanus can be prevented in a number of ways without ever receiving a vaccine. For instance, simply thoroughly washing and cleaning cuts can prevent the disease. And in actuality, contracting the disease in the first place is rare; just “233 cases of tetanus were reported to the Center for Disease Control between 2001 and 2008,” Goldstein points out, citing the federal agency’s own figures. “The incidence of tetanus declined by more than 95% between 1947 and 2008.”
Finally, diphtheria is also a low-risk disease, and one that is not seen widely in the U.S. since an outbreak in the 1970s. Over the 30-year period between 1980 and 2010, just 55 cases of the disease were reported to the CDC.
